Subject: routines checking hosts.equiv do not check netgroups
X-Mailer: Ishmail 1.3.2-970721-sol <http://www.ishmail.com>
MIME-Version: 1.0
Content-Type: text/plain
Package: glibc
Version: 2.0.7t
Routines that check that remote users are okay (ruserok, __ivaliduser, etc) do
not look for netgroups in /etc/hosts.equiv as they should given the
documentation. If you list a netgroup as the man page indicates, for example:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
It interprets it as a host name (see the code for __ivaliduser).
