Package: libc-bin
Version: 2.10.2-2

I’ve installed a new system using “Debian GNU/Linux 4.0 r3 _etch_ Official i386
CD Binary-1 20080217-11:50” CDROM.

When upgrading the system it removes almost every package and then tries to
install new ones.

When installing it says:

….
Get: 1 http://ftp.de.debian.org sid/main libc-bin 2.10.2-2 [699KB]
….
dpkg: regarding …/libc-bin 2.10.2-2 i386.deb containing libc-bin:
Package uses Breaks; not supported in this dpkg

Then it finishes with a lot of dependences errors.

Then rebooting the PC I only can open the single user console mode.

Upgrade from Etch to Squeeze is not supported. You have to upgrade to
Lenny first.
