For tst-timer* I got the same failures with sid chroot on kfreebsd
8.1, however they work fine with kfreebsd-10.

I don't have kfreebsd 8.3 and 9.0 handy atm (fsck'ed VM), but once we
know we could fallback to old method using a getosreldate() check.

If someone can test I'd appreciate, anyway I'll keep trying to recover
that system :-(

As for bug22 I doubt it has anything to do with my patch. In my tests
it was working fine with kfreebsd 8.1 but failed with kfreebsd 10
(both using patched libc). Could it be a kernel-driven regression?
