I noticed this first with ssh file transfers, but tested using same version of iperf3 and kernel 4.3.0-1-amd64 on both hosts. Both hosts are running as Xen guests on same otherwise completely idle hardware. Could you please at least > try to do the same test with a jessie machine with only libc6 and > related packages updated to stretch. Turns out it wasn't. Firewall / router with bonded 2 x 1 gigabit ethernet caused problems with just this stretch host. Other link dropped packets when used heavily. Every other host worked fine so I guess I had just really bad luck with how switch / firewall chose link for traffic to this host. -- Antti Salmela
