Oh my, it is so sad to see you winding down on Debian, Michael. It's really a sad reading to me, as it resonates with my feeling towards Debian as an organization as a whole, while mine were just bits and pieces here and there, but you summarized it in a much broader and systematic way.
You've been bottling them up to yourself for all these years, and only recently I learned your frustration towards Debian as an organization, which is not even listed in your blog site -- your IP being blacklisted for doing the good deed. Every story is a sad one. Maybe that's the reason many well-known Debian people shifted to Canonical instead.
