The golang-github-smira-go-aws-auth package was last uploaded on 2021-01-12 (as a buildinfo QA upload) shipping upstream code from 2016. It has no reverse dependencies in Debian. https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/golang-github-smira-go-aws-auth The upstream project had its last git commit 8 years ago: https://github.com/smira/go-aws-auth This removal request is part of a larger batch to remove 100+ unused golang-*-dev packages from Debian. I believe the QA cost associated with keeping all of them is larger than the cost of (hopefully extremely rare) re-introduction of any accidentally removed package if there is ever any future need for it.
