gdk-imlib1-dev conflicts with libpng3-dev, and it doesn't need to. Seemingly libgtk2.0-dev also depends on libtiff3g-dev, libpng3-dev, and libjpeg62-dev... also doesn't need to. Please god no. The imlib2 package we have, built against libpng3, is a curiosa with little rational explanation.
