Christian, I have everything up to date. This is what I've done. My sources.list points to ftp.us.debian.org/debian unstable. apt-get update apt-get upgrade apt-get dist-upgrade apg-get install gnome I still get the same messages. In the past, I have messed around with installing and uninstalling gnome through garnome and perhaps maybe with installing the woody version of gnome2(I can't remember). But is there a way to debug this message? This error message I'm getting doesn't seem detailed enough. Or should I wait? Have all the mirrors stabilised? thanks in advance everybody wilmer On October 31, 2002 05:44 pm, Christian Arthaber wrote: > * Wilmer Alberto Lau <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> [2002-11-01 02:38]: > > Hi everybody: > > hi > > > I get the following message as I've been trying to install gnome from > > sid.
