Since I dist-upgraded my debian to unsable where gnome2 is implemented I I removed my locales and set them up again ([EMAIL PROTECTED], de_DE, de.UTF-8, us_EN and us-EN.UTF-8). Then reinstalled gnomeICU, but I still doesn't work.

Perhaps anybody can hel me.

What is the locale selected in your environment (variable LANG or LC_ALL usually) ?

Try to launch gnomeicu this way :
$ LC_ALL=de_DE.UTF8 gnomeicu

Cheers,

This doesn't work, too Here is the output:

$ LC_ALL=de_DE.UTF8 gnomeicu

(gnomeicu:1914): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library.
   Using the fallback 'C' locale.
