The .gaimrc format is almost completely unchanged. There should be no 'importing' per se. Only interesting thing is that rather than being specified by file, plugins are probed at startup. It looks in /usr/lib/gaim and ~/.gaim now, so you can only have plugins which exist in those dirs.
