Hey do you have a nvidia card ? have you upgraded the drivers to the last version(1.0.4191) ? if not forget this mail :) if yes... the last version of the nvida drivers has a problem with 2d rendering so its advised to downgrade the drivers to 1.0.3123 until they release a new a fix/new version.
