Somehow old nautilus2 packages are being left behind. I hit that
problem, and I hadn't experimental in my apt.sources list (I'm on
sid). The problem arises because nautilus package Replaces and
Conflicts autilus2 package, but does not Provides it, so it isn't
automatically upgraded.
