GDM 2.4.1.3 greeter & fonts

hi i'm running Debian Woody 3.0, i installed GDM 2.4.1.3 with Gnome2.2 from a backport i find on Gnome Website...   everything is working fine, except the fonts under GDM when i use a greeter theme...   i nearly can't read the text, it's like it was translucid, but very ugly :/   help ! :)   Charles aka plut0nium
