libgnomevfs2-0 depends on libgnomevfs2-common which depends on libfam0c102 - the fam client library. I'd be in favour of having something depend on the fam daemon (package: fam). The only disadvantage of that I can think of is that fam depends on portmap (the rpc portmapper crack). Perhaps depending on fam in gnome-core or something would make sense - so that if someone installs somethings that happens to depend on gnome-vfs they don't get a port opened up on their machine but if they want the gnome desktop they get a working setup by default.
