This is an upstream bug which is now fixed in CVS (we think). There are a number of serious bugs with frameless windows introduced in 2.5.0 which are now fixed in CVS. I would recommend that debian apply the patch in: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=109039 to its packages.
