I am attempting to install Gnome 2.2 on Debian 3.0 rev1, but am stuck at apt-get.
Did you see this page? http://people.debian.org/~walters/gnome2.html
You might like to try the Woody backport of the Gnome 2.2 packages.
Can anyone give me a copy of their sources.list file that they have used to install Gnome 2.2. I have been trying to install it, but I have got a message telling me that gnome-core = 28 and pan is required, although as far as I can see they are in the unstable stream which I have added into my sources.list.
Can you post the exact error message? I run a mix of testing and unstable and so my sources.list looks like:
deb http://ukdebian.mirror.anlx.net/debian/ testing main non-free contrib
deb http://ukdebian.mirror.anlx.net/debian-non-US/ testing/non-US main contrib non-free
deb http://ukdebian.mirror.anlx.net/debian/ unstable main non-free contrib
deb http://ukdebian.mirror.anlx.net/debian-non-US/ unstable/non-US main contrib non-free
and I have APT::Default-Release "testing";
in /etc/apt/apt.conf
