I have the same problem and I am _not_ using gnome-session. It's not a big deal to me as the only applets that had this problem were Inbox monitors, and I suspect only when I had multiple monitors, I assume this is because multiple applets of this type rely on gnome-session for a unique ID. I run gnome-panel and nautilus within enlightenment. -b-
