I downloaded this nifty theme from http://themes.freshmeat.net/redir/gnometal/46148/url_tgz/gnometal_icons_v2.tar.gz and i untarred and gunzipped it, and i have a directory. I want to install the theme so that it can run on gnome 2. http://themes.freshmeat.net/projects/gnometal/?topic_id=958%2C1009%2C930%2C938%2C952 that website claims it can run on gnome 2. So intuitively i go to the themes launcher in desktop preferences. Then a warning message pops up that says I either dont have metacity installed or my gconf is not configured properly. So i apt-g(o)t install(ed) metacity, and i still am getting the same error. Does anyone have experience installing new themes? or know if it is even possible to install this theme in gnome 2?
