There is a bug open for this upstream, and gconf-editor works around it so you won't see it anyway.Err .. I didn't know that, I was talking about this bug because I witnessed it with my own eyes under my own debian unstable :) So the workaround seems sorta inefficient to me ...
Hm, I may be wrong, but I thought gconf-editor 2.6 had fixed this. If you can replicate there is a bug in bugzilla about it.
