There's ways to maximize to only part of the screen in metacity - the second script at http://gnomesupport.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4475 proved quite useful to me for just that (using gdesklets instead of gkrellm here). -- Elias Pschernig <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
