Type-to-search in gtk fileselector?

Hi!

Gtk 2.4 should be able to search the filelist while typing the alphabets of
the filename in the fileselector.. but it doesn't seem to work in unstable.. 

any idea why?

Package: libgtk2.0-0
Version: 2.4.13-1

I tried with gedit and gnumeric.. Is it disabled in the debian gtk build or
something like that?
