Hi Takis, it seems that I am affected of the same problem. (See my recent posting to this list.)
I have a Dapper partition for testing purposes on my machine (which I dist-upgrade daily but which I boot only once in a while in order to see what changed) and I am pretty sure that our problem occured on Dapper some weeks ago, too. But meanwhile they (the Ubuntu folks) seem to have fixed it, so there must be some patch that closes the issue.
