Hi everyone.

I've noticed there's no P. O. S. system
using GTK. In Ubuntu, there's a QT-based one at least -- so I think you
left it out of your distro because too few people might use it?

But I'm planning to write a new one from scratch. The advantage of my
system would be ease of use for someone not qualified in finance, as
well as fewer dependencies: just CUPS and so forth. (No SQL engine.) I could
even make the CUPS module into a separate package.

I've looked at a POS system and I feel it is very easy to write,
provided you don't add all sorts of odd features. My system would very
useful to many different businesses, including your favourite restaurant
 "down the road"!

My main question is, would you be willing to include it in Debian unstable,
once it's done?

Thank you,

Misha
