Another solution is: to install on NFS, then copy files (or fs image) to SD
without doing all the administrative writes and rewrites.

Actually, my CF disk being dead, my PDA currently only has 32MB of VFAT CF,
on which I installed xemacs and clisp, and I'm using NFS for debian.
