I grabbed the ghci on powerpc investigation problem and built
7.0.1 on powerc (commenting out the bit in debian/rules that
disables building ghci). I then installed it in a sid chroot
and it seems to work:
GHCi, version 7.0.1: http://www.haskell.org/ghc/ :? for help
Loading package ghc-prim ... linking ... done.
Loading package integer-gmp ... linking ... done.
Loading package base ... linking ... done.
