the bug reminds me a bit of http://ghc.haskell.org/trac/ghc/ticket/4074 so calling /usr/bin/ghc with the work around from https://lists.debian.org/debian-haskell/2010/06/msg00091.html i.e. "+RTS -V0" is worth a try. If that doesn’t work we can probably remove s390x.
