Hello Debian Haskell team,

I'm looking for a sponsor for my adoption of propellor, a configuration
management system written in Haskell. It was orphaned when the upstream
author, Joey Hess, left Debian. I have his blessing to adopt it.

I'd hate to see propellor drop out of Debian because it doesn't have a
maintainer. So I'd appreciate it if someone could take a look at
sponsoring my upload. It's lintian-clean and up-to-date, unlike the
current version in sid.

The RFS is below, with a dget download link. Alternatively, check out
tag "debian/2.15.0-1" of my repo https://git.spwhitton.name/propellor

Thanks.

Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: normal

Dear mentors,

Propellor is a configuration management system written in Haskell. Each
system has a list of idempotent properties, which Propellor ensures are
satisfied each time it runs. It uses an innovative and powerful
security and distribution model using Git and PGP.

I am looking for a sponsor for my adoption of the Debian packaging of
Propellor. It was orphaned when the upstream author, former DD Joey
Hess, left Debian.

I contribute patches to Propellor, so I understand how it works and am
well-placed to maintain its Debian package. I've checked with Joey and
he is happy for me to be the Debian package maintainer.

* Package name    : propellor
  Version         : 2.15.0-1
  Upstream Author : Joey Hess <[email protected]>
* URL             : https://propellor.branchable.com/
* License         : BSD-2-clause
  Section         : admin

To access further information about this package, please visit the following
URL:

    http://mentors.debian.net/package/propellor

Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:

    dget -x
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/p/propellor/propellor_2.15.0-1.dsc

Thanks.
