Hi dear participants of the Debian Haskell Group,

First, thanks for all the work put into the Debian Haskell ecosystem.
I have been a long time Debian user (never got much packaging done except for a
few private packages). I also have a couple of open source projects in Haskell.

My initial goal is to help integrate Hasql
(https://hackage.haskell.org/package/hasql).

I went through the group page, read the getting started and started playing
around with an unstable installation (using debootstrap). And I noticed that
one of its dependencies (text-builder) is marked as obsolete in the
packaged-plan. To get a working package plan with Hasql I have to remove the
obsolete mark.

Am I going the right way about this? Is my goal reasonable and desirable for
the project? Are there other packages or ways that could use some additional
help as I learn the ropes?

Kind regards,

Diogo
