At the moment there is no point making it bigger than one vmlinux plus a bit of overhead - say 8MB total. One day we might want to put more in there, but not before woody is released. boot-floppies is now at the "accepting serious bug fixes only" stage, so I'm inclined to leave the dialog text alone.
