btw, this is because we have broken exceptions handling in hppa-linux. unfortunately, this might not get fixed until we move to gcc-3.3, or someone backports Dave's work to gcc-3.2 (or, it might be easier for someone to actually finish one of the attempts to rewrite menu in C :-) randolph
