But unfortunately this will not do, I specifically need Sun's JDK1.3 for Linux on HPPA.
So there is no hope? If not I'm gonna sell off the 4x quad proc. L2000's as scrap metal.

dunno. Kaffe 1.1.2 worked for me on parisc-hpux, may work on parisc-linux as well. Could you give the source tarball from http://www.kaffe.org a try (it's not been packaged for debian yet).
