Doesn't ring any bells, but can you try a newer kernel and report the
results? 2.6.8 is very old... :)
I am going to change to using etch so will try the 2.6.15? kernel shortly...
I don't know what's the latest hppa kernel for sarge, but you can get
the latest prebuilt kernel debs here:
http://cvs.parisc-linux.org/download/linux-2.6/
