Hello, I'm preparing new the versions of aqsis after a long period when the package was not maintained, so we jumped from 1.2 to 1.6.
With 1.6 it fails to compile in HPPA (at least in the HPPA of the farm), although there wasn't (apparently) any problems on the rest of architectures -- including hurd and kfreebsd kernels: https://buildd.debian.org/build.cgi?pkg=aqsis&dist=unstable Strangely, the 1st attempt (1.6.0-1.1) got to 82% mark, but the logs available for -1.2 and -2 show that they failed at the same point (37%, trying to compile the same shader) and with no error... seems like the child process dies. I'm guessing that the child in this case is a special compiler for the shader (or a simple preprocessor converting it to C or something), I didn't look closely at it yet because most probably is a bug triggered only in HPPA for some reason. Honestly, I have no idea of HPPA other than it's discontinued by the vendor, but I think that it's still a candidate arch to be released in the next stable, and I'd like to get the package shipped in stable. Could anybody with access to a HPPA machine help me to debug this? It takes less 10 minutes to compile inside pbuilder in a recent laptop, but the only available person who replied me in debian-mentors@ so far said that he had the hardware but that it was too obsolete to attempt to compile this :-? , and suggested me to post here asking this.
