Dear Helge,
it looks like the odd system console behaviour that we recognized on our
rp2470s (e.g. described on [1]) is gone with Linux 4.15.x.

I tested it via the LAN port of the GSP and first noticed it with Linux
4.16.x, but using snapshot.d.o I could trace it back to the first 4.15.x
kernel for hppa in Debian Ports. The last 4.14.x kernel for hppa in
Debian Ports still shows the old odd behaviour, despite fully upgraded
OS and rebuilt initramfs.
