Hello, I'm just uploading my hurd-19980716 package, it is the most recent development snapshot available, and the only thing I kept from the old release is libthreads (as the old one provides a threadsafe malloc, but glibc2 2.0.4 doesn't).
It seems to work fine here, although I couldn't test it extensively (still only sash as as shell). Next step will be ncurses, libreadline and bash, so we have a functional shell for scripts.
