I just successfully installed the hurd on my i586 box, using the ghhk distribution. It was actually remarkably easy; kudos to the people who put that together!
i've got the cross-compiler working and everything, and things seem to be going smoothly. are there any packages i should try building? should i update the kernel and hurd? -ed
