First, I got all the packages needed (and it took lots of time, I've only a slow dialup connection). Following the idiot's guide, there are some problems: 1) cross-install need the name of the Hurd partition mount point; 2) syntax error: a missing ";" in line 124; solved.
Now, the problem; the guide says: reboot with the GRUB floppy in the drive.
