My first preference is for "This is the Hurd. Welcome." I would like all Hurd distributions (debian or otherwise) to contain this greeting, if possible. But some mention of Debian would also be good. So perhaps a separate line before that: Debian GNU/Hurd 1.0 This is the Hurd. Welcome. Thomas
