Dear friends,
is anybody of you running XFree86 already? I installed the stuff from
alpha.gnu.org, but there was no server there.
I took the server from
ftp://ftp.xfree86.org/pub/XFree86/3.3.3.1/binaries/Hurd/, plus XF86Config file
from linux: this did not work:
X: cannot open keyboard [no such file or directory].
Then I tried to uninstall the x debs, and take everything from ftp.xfree86.org;
I ended with the same result.
Or is it premature to try to install X?
