Figured I was letting my current install rot, so I decided to go the tarball way so I was fresh and (reasonably) up to date.
Needless to say, GNUMach, right around the spot where it loads/uses serverboot.gz, says: hd02: bad access (sector etc info here) I know it has to do with serverboot.gz because if I supply an incorrect path, GNUMach says it can't find it, asks me to enter a correct one, and gives that message right after. I performed a badblock check on the partition (destructive and non-destructive) as well. No reports. Anyway, I don't know if any of the above is relevant, but the system locks up after it loads exec, proc, init, auth. It writes a newline after "auth." and sits there. Known problem? I tried recreating the filesystem and reuntargzing it and it still persists. I'm asking because I don't want to download 12 megs again without being sure that it's absolutely necessary. :) /* ---------- Michael Bacarella( [EMAIL PROTECTED] ) | (212) 293-2620 Administration / Development / Support | http://nyct.net/ [ N e w Y o r k C o n n e c t .
