Indeed. I have a patch here that I worked out a couple of weeks before, but I won't give it out until I have revised it. If you don't are involved in GNU Mach and Hurd, you probably can't help with the X situation currently at all. The X upstream source is either okay or we don't know how to fix it (because the parts the changes would depend on are not properly implemented yet). The other side of the story are the package scripts of Debian, something you better not touch without a lot of experience oin this area. Sorry, maybe pick up something else... the tex packages have some issues, I would very much like it if someone would inevestigate it (the problems are obvious, just try to build it). I will rebuild the X packages and solve all issues involved the time I feel confident we know how we solve our console issues. If you really feel like you absolutely need X, you can get the binaries straight from X web page and follow the instructions on a japanese web site. if you don't know how to find the link, you don't want to try.
