What is so annoying about an all zero based counting vs. the IMHO clumsy half zero (drives) / half 1 (partitions) based counting? Given the choice I would even prefer Grub syntax over Linux syntax. (A random, not quite serious thought - what about hd(666,42)?) Maybe I will end up as a Grub fanatic one day. ;-) /bye Dirk
