Hello With regard to the getopt. The build uses debstd -u -m; debstd is a script that uses getopt to parse the command line. I am building up from a tar ball so do not have getopt; but can soon get it. If you use debstd then it behaves as though you are not setting any flags.
One other little thing. It is not urgent, but will be important. Can I ask that texinfo.tex be put into the CVS hurd doc directory. Yes, of course I can hack it, but if it is put there; then we could down load the latest version, type the dpkg-buildpackage -uc -B; and on return, some hours later, the Hurd would have built itself and its documentation.
