I found yet another conflicting file. In this case it was /usr/bin/tsort which exists both in bsdmainutils and textutils. Textutils is the version from tarball 19991025 and bsdmainutils is downloaded from ftp.debian.org the previous day (5th Jan). I can't remember it's version number.
