On a second thought - you don't just 'use' a machine that displays a friendly XDM login screen - probably the common case anyway with a hypothetical installation someday. (Further thinking also revealed that it would not make much sense for any login procedure to let you in as the 'not yet authentified user' so just hitting [Enter] twice in order to get an anonymous X session does not seem to be overly reasonable.) > I think there should at least be an option in the installation.
