i installed hurd just like descibed in "easy guide to install gnu/hurd from a linux box". when i try to boot hurd it hangs after detecting "com1" and "com2". i thinks it' s because of shared irq (i run freebsd, openbsd and linux on the same box, and it works properly - i think/know they support shared irq). i've heard/read hurd does NOT support shared irq. so how to avoid this problem? i played around in the bios-settings, but it helped nothing. if you now an answer please mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] at the moment i am not subscribed to this mailinglist, yet-but i'll subscribe, if hurd runs properly on my system.
