Hi, dpkg 1.7.2 update-alternatives is broken (as a quick fix, add "use Errno;" to the top of it. I will upload a fixed version at the weekend.
Oh, and dpkg-shlibdeps changed again. You MUST use export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/X11R6/lib to build X related packages. Just /X11R6/lib won't work, because ldd is used again to do some checks. dpkg-shlibdeps should try both variants on the Hurd, but that is the smallest problem right now.
