The two current problems are: 1) Glibc doesn't compile right now with --enable-libio/gcc3 unless I hardcode libc_cv_gcc_unwind_find_fde=yes 2) Static binaries produced with this glibc don't run. I don't know if #2 is dependant on #1. I was out of town for a bit this week, so I haven't been working on it. More over the next week or so, though. When we have the pieces for a base system+compiler, I'll put out a call to Debian developers to help me with binary recompiles. That would probably be a good time to start mirroring. BenC (The Debian glibc maintainer) told me that he doesn't plan on uploading a new glibc until after Woody is released. That means the "Flag day" is at least that far away. Tks, Jeff Bailey -- `Patience' said Slartibartfast again. `Great things are afoot'. `That's what you said last time we met' said Arthur. `They were,' said Slartibartfast. `Yes, that's true,' admitted Arthur.
