This would of couse be the wrong(tm) solution. Eventually we are
hoping to the get X11 libs into /lib, but for now you should set LD_LIBRARY_PATH
to include /lib/X11R6 and /local/lib
set?id programs forget LD_LIBRARY_PATH... so I had to make symlinks... I was told on irc that even launching X as a user in a screen session was because of a bug!
