Judy actually appears to be referring to the kind of windows that one
puts into one's house--there really is a company called "Hurd" that
makes such windows:

Anyway, Judy: we aren't affiliated with the Hurd window company--this
is a mailing-list for Debian and the GNU Hurd, which are notable
pieces of Free operating-system software. If you're interested in
